Cereal Killer Cafe - Brick Lane, London, England

Cereal Killer Cafe // London - Brick Lane

Hi Guys,

I was in London last week and I planned to visit the "Cereal Killer Cake". Some friends told me about it before so I really wanted to try !

If you never heard about this place, the "Cereal Killer Cafe" is a place which mainly serves cereals but with a lot of different varieties from all around the world.

The place is a bit touristy, but some locals are also going there. They have two cafes in London, one in Brick Lane and one in Camden. I went to the one in Brick Lane and as it is less touristy, I think it's less crowded. I went there around 16:00 (I was starving) and luckily there was no one before me.

What I really like was the huge choice of cereals. As I am a cinnamon addict, I took what they call a cocktail (it's a mix of different cereals), here is what I choose : "don’t have a cinnamon" a mix of : curiously cinnamon, cinnamon toast crunch, applejacks, honey, and semi skimmed milk. If you are into cinnamon too, I can only suggest you to take the same than me. My only regret is that I took a medium size instead of a large one.
I think cereals are pretty boring in France, so it was awesome to be able to have so much choice!

I walked a lot that day and I thought I'd reach earlier so I didn't have breakfast nor lunch...
It was also a bit cold, so I ordered a Stacked Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate! Yummy! (Pics are at the end of the post, I even made a video!)

It was not that pricey. Of course it was not cheap, but it's London so I expect everything to be more expensive! I paid £3,80 for the cereals and I don't remember exactly but something around £5 for the hot drink.

What I really liked :
  • the huge choice of cereals,
  • the taste (honestly I didn't think it would be this good),
  • the atmosphere of the room upstairs,
  • the not so expensive prices,
  • the locations : Camden and Brick Lane are two really cool areas in London,
  • the design and decoration.

What I didn't like :
  • I didn't like the room downstairs at all, I found it pretty gloomy and a bit creepy... (it's the room with the beds that you can see on the pics), also, I am not sure it's really hygienic.
  • the fact that it's a bit touristy,
  • the menu is a bit useless. Not everything is on it, and you have two walls of menu too xD,
  • if you're going during the rush hour, you might have to queue for a long time.

  1. Like you, the beds kind of gross me out but that being said: I LOVE CEREAL. I seriously sometimes eat cereal for dinner... I know, I'm a child. Although you said it's touristy I would still like to check it out and see the variety of cereals they have to offer for myself!

  5. Sounds like an interesting concept, and people do tend to eat cereal throughout the day now, but for me I think it seems a little strange. Perhaps it is because I am not a huge cereal fan!

  6. The idea behind this place is so simple and so genius! Never thought of a place that would serve simple cereals and get so many visitors. The next city in my bucket list is London, so I'll definitely check out this place. Oh, and your hot chocolate looks gorgeous!

  9. I've heard of these places!!!! Although I have never seen one, I think I would definitely be up for trying it just to say I did! I am not sure about the dollar to £ conversion, but I'm assuming it wasn't too expensive! But at the same time, is it worth it to eat there, or just go to the store and buy a box of cereal for about the same amount?

  10. This concept is just so cool! I'm not much of a cereal fan but I got excited about this place. Maybe at the novelty of having cereal from all around the world. Lol I'll take the Aladin Corn Flakes - yummy! Talk about feeling like a kid again. Great post Coralie!
